Not a terribly late start (12-ish is really like 12:40p anyway), which is probably a better time than in the last few years? 😬 All SEVEN of us on board for the start of this trip! Only a little Chicago traffic, and a very short first ride today. Indiana Dunes National Park was our first stop. A rather quiet car ride, courtesy of headphones. We managed to get a site - a walk-in instead of a drive-up. Not ideal, but we made it work. At least it was a short walk haha! The kids were actually really helpful setting up. A quick dinner, then we ventured to the beach for a fantastic sunset swim. I'm now remembering just how much organization is essential. It's amazing that I manage to forget that before every trip!

1. Grandma - not a camper 😂, although she will tell you that portable chargers are "da bomb".
2. Personal space is not going to come easy on this trip.
3. Anything can be a s'more - just add marshmallow.
4. The Indiana mosquitos are not phased by bug spray. Even directly on them. 😡
Tomorrow we are headed to Cuyahoga Falls National Park - possibly a hike if the weather holds out for us. I think Grandma is very excited to be in a hotel for the next few nights, and I'm pretty sure the kids aren't minding that either. Ok, I'm also fine with it - as I'm being eaten alive by mosquitos right now!!
