Day 6

We all woke up rather late today - on camping terms. Didn't get moving until 9:30, and lazy packed up the campsite. We headed out by 11 to seek out Warren Falls. We had no idea what we were walking into, just that it was maybe a place to do some swimming in the falls. We were not disappointed.

I have video of the cliff jumping, but can't seem to upload it to the blog. Let me get back to that.  The water was FREEZING but it didn't seem to bother the kids too much. And the weather was perfect.
We then headed to Montpelier, to see the capital building:

And then, after some napping, to Concord, NH:

Then we had an interesting turn of events. I was able to find us a campsite at Pawtuckaway State Park in New Hampshire. We were about 11 min out from it, and drove past a spray painted board informing us that our GPS sucks if we are here for the state park. Hmm. It then gave the address for the park, which redirected us another 17 min... 

I was really convinced we were being led astray, and when we arrived at 1 Mountain Road and there was nothing there... we just kept driving. Luckily, it was just another mile down the road before we saw the entrance. I went to check in, only to find out that I had booked it wrong online, and paid for NEXT Friday. Yep. But, there were still a few campsites available, and we were able to secure one for the night. But we still had to go to the store. We finally got set up and the fire going by dark. The mosquitos were terrible, so we called it an early night by the fire and spent most of it indoors. Hoping to hit the beach area tomorrow...

1. Don't slide down the rocks and crack your tailbone. Oops.
2. Be sure to triple check the dates when booking... anything. Or your son who booked it the day before just perfectly will constantly remind you of it.
3. Miles has really come through with finding deals to help finish out the trip - an unexpected but much welcomed surprise.

Tomorrow we are (maybe) swimming and headed to Boston - doing a hotel so we can get in a couple of beach days in RI without moving around. Not sure what the weekend will bring, and the weather doesn't appear to want to cooperate...☂🎈
